McALESTER —
The McAlester Regional Health Center has made “huge” strides in the way it partners with physicians.
That’s according to Teresa Roberts, principal consultant with the Press Ganey Consulting Group, which conducted a survey with physicians on behalf of the hospital.
Members of the McAlester Regional Health Center Authority board listened to a conference phone call while Roberts led them through the MRHC 2012 Physician Partner Survey. The board members heard the results as they met in regular session at the hospital late Wednesday afternoon.
When the call began, Roberts said she works with 175 hospitals.
On the overall mean of the study results, Roberts said MRHC scored 75.6.
“That’s an absolutely huge increase of 12.5 percent,” she said.
McAlester Regional improved faster than 99 percent of the hospitals which were surveyed “and that’s no mean feat,” Roberts said.
She said key strengths include a tremendous improvement in relationships and collaborations between physicians and the leadership at the hospital.
