Vanoss sweeps Crowder doubleheader

CROWDER — Teams that can’t hit must find alternate ways to win baseball games.

The Vanoss Wolves did that, while the Crowder Demons did not.

The Demons put few balls in play, and those they did the Wolves’ defense handled, beating Crowder twice in Tuesday’s doubleheader at Douglas Smith Memorial Field in Crowder. Vanoss won the first game, 2-1, and the second game, 5-3, improving to 8-6.

Crowder fell to 3-7.
