McALESTER — Max E. Kinyon, 83, of McAlester, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at his home.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Frink Baptist Church with the Rev. James Collins officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bart Patterson. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Memorials may be made to Frink Baptist Church, 1830 South George Nigh Expressway, McAlester, OK,  74501.

Oklahoma District 18 Rep. Donnie Condit, standing, recently visited with 8th grade students from McAlester and 7th and 8th grade students from Panama during Eastern Oklahoma State College’s GEAR UP Summer Leadership Camp in Wilburton. Condit emphasized the importance of education and encouraged the students to pursue higher education.
