OKLAHOMA CITY — The Kiowa Cowgirls played their first three quarters of Thursday’s Class A state quarter-final with a nervousness anyone would feel playing on such a grand stage.
They played the fourth quarter as if they wanted something more.
Addy Clift scored 31 points, and the Cowgirls closed out the game on a 12-4 run to beat the Fort Cobb-Broxton Lady Mustangs, 55-47, at Abe Lemons Arena at Oklahoma City University on Thursday.
Kiowa’s postseason run ended in Friday’s semifinal at State Fair Arena, when the Cheyenne-Reydon Lady Bears beat the Cowgirls, 65-56.
