TULSA — As prosecutors await the case against two brothers arrested in the deaths of four women at a shoddy Tulsa apartment complex last month, some locals say they doubt the crime-plagued area will ever change.
Police on Wednesday announced that 39-year-old Cedric Poore and 32-year-old James Poore are suspects in the deaths of 23-year-old twins Rebeika Powell and Kayetie Melchor, 33-year-old Misty Nunley and 55-year-old Julie Jackson.
The women were found dead on Jan. 7 and police say the Poore brothers lived in the same apartment complex on the city's south side.
They are both scheduled for a Feb. 19 arraignment.
A spokeswoman with the district attorney's office indicated Thursday that it could take up to two weeks before the crime reports on the mass killings are turned over to prosecutors.
