McALESTER — Crowder School’s Music Booster Club will be hosting a dessert concert Friday at 7 p.m. at the Crowder Choctaw Community Center. Students will provide entertainment for the evening and a pie auction will be held. Proceeds benefit the school's music activities.

McAlester Varsity Pom Squad members and their coach, Yvonne Allford and assistant Kacyn Haney, recently attended the Universal Dance Association Pom Camp in Tulsa. The girls spent four days working and participating in camp activities and competing against other squads from the area.
