The AARP will host a driver safety class Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kiamichi Technology Center, 301 Kiamichi Dr.
The cost for AARP members is $12 and for non-members it is $14. Checks or money orders are preferred.
Lunch is not provided. A sandwich vending machine is on site.
The course teaches defensive driving skills and provides a refresher of rules of the road. Since 1979, the course has helped more than 14 million drivers learn safety strategies and tips to adapt one’s driving to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that may come with aging. Participants may qualify for an automobile insurance discount by completing the classroom course.
Classes are limited in size, so those interested should call 877-926-8300 early to register. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
