Bowling Bulletin: Hits & Misses leads Fun Bowlers

McALESTER — Nothing like a 4-0 sweep to shake up the standings. Hits & Misses swept Young at Heart 4-0 on Feb. 28, jumping Hits & Misses three places in the standings and into first with a 21-15 record heading into last Thursday’s games.

Leading by only half a point, Hits & Misses played second-ranked TCB on Thursday. The Hopefuls, who lost 3-1 to Three Strikes on Feb. 27 and fell from first to third, played fourth-ranked Young at Heart.

Hits & Misses will play the Hopefuls on Thursday, while TCB will play Three Strikes.

Jean Craig of the Lame Ducks leads the league with 10,127 pins.

Lions Club Proclamation

McAlester Lions Club will celebrate its 95th year anniversary with a proclamation Tuesday. Pictured front row from left are, Deb Nortunen, McAlester Mayor Steve Harrison and Jerry Grubbs; and back row, Tom Crowl, Lance Woodliff and Bill Nicholson. The proclamation encourages all citizens to support this organization and its community support missions with have aided the blind and visually impaired, a strong commitment to community service and serving youth throughout the world, along with supporting Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Club and the Salvation Army.
