Bowling Bulletin: New’s leads Wednesday Open Trio

McALESTER — With a 4-0 sweep against Lalman Farms on Feb, 6, the New’s remained in first heading into last Wednesday’s Week 22. But while the top spot didn’t change, every other position did.

Second-ranked TMK got swept 4-0 by the fourth-ranked Twisters,  improving the Twisters to 13.5-10.5 and moving them into second, a half-point ahead of TMK in third and 4.5 points behind the New’s.

Lalman Farms, which had been ranked third, fell into a fourth-place tie with Rocket Bowl at 10-10. But because Rocket Bowl has the higher total score — though just by 127 pins — Rocket Bowl wins the tie-breaker.

Team GBOF now ranks last in the league with a 7.5-16.5 record. GBOF played Lalman Farms this past Wednesday and will face the New’s this coming Wednesday.
