Man charged with murder in the death of his parents, both natives of Pittsburg County, according to officials.

McALESTER — Two counts of murder have been filed against a man in the death of his parents, both former natives of Pittsburg County, according to officials.

Ross Holloway, 32, of Boley, was charged with two counts of murder in the first-degree Friday morning in Okfuskee County District Court. He is accused in the shooting death of his parents, Denver Holloway, 54, and Martha Holloway 53, in their home near Boley, according to an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation report and an affidavit filed in Okfuskee County District Court.

Denver Holloway was born in McAlester and graduated from Stuart High School. He previously worked for McAlester UPS. Martha Holloway graduated from Savanna High School, according to family members.

According the affidavit, Ross Holloway allegedly shot and killed his parents inside their home near Boley on March 8. The bodies were discovered March 11.

The OSBI states the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with the double murder.

The bodies were discovered by OSBI agents along with Okfuskee County Undersheriff Derrall Summers, Okfuskee County Chief Deputy Mark Trunk, and Okfuskee County District Attorney Investigator Craig Hicks as they conducted a search of the home, the affidavit states.

During the investigation, agents allegedly discovered the Holloway’s son had lived with the couple for two years. The officers also allegedly found methamphetamine paraphernalia in Ross Holloway’s bedroom, according to the OSBI.

Agents also reportedly discovered Ross Holloway’s Jeep Wrangler vehicle and his .22-caliber Magnum revolver were missing.

According to the affidavit, a day after the murders took place, Ross Holloway was stopped by officers in LeFlore County and had allegedly admitted to smoking methamphetamine hours earlier. During a search of the vehicle in the traffic stop, a .22- caliber revolver was found inside his vehicle with five spent shell casings inside the cylinder, according to the OSBI.

A medical examiner’s report states the victims died of multiple gunshot wounds from .22-caliber Magnum bullets.

Ross Holloway was transported to Okfuskee County on Monday and remains jailed without bail. It was unclear when Holloway was due to appear in court next.
