McALESTER —
A suspect was arrested at the McAlester Stockyards in an on-going armed robbery investigation conducted by an elite unit of state agencies.
“It was a good catch,” said Capt. Jerry Flowers Special Agent Supervisor for State of Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture Food and Forestry.
The suspect was arrested and booked into Pittsburg County Criminal Justice Center on Tuesday after picking up a check from the sale of 15 head of allegedly stolen cattle.
Flowers said the investigation began on May 1 after a group of men held a Seminole County rancher at gun point.
“The persons responsible took several head of cattle,” Flowers said.
“This is the first arrest in this on-going investigation.”
