Recent back robberies may be connected, FBI says

DEL CITY — The FBI says three recent bank robberies in the Oklahoma City metro area may have been committed by the same people.

Special Agent in Charge James Finch says the most recent robbery was about 9:30 a.m. Saturday when two armed men walked into a BancFirst Branch in Del City and demanded money at gunpoint. Finch says the robbers took money from the drawers of two tellers and stole the wallet of a bank customer.

No injuries are reported.

Finch says the methods used by the robbers and their descriptions are similar to two recent robberies at nearby Bank of Oklahoma branches in Oklahoma City.
