NORMAN —
Kansas coach Charlie Weis said earlier this week that he'll use two quarterbacks against Oklahoma. Senior Dayne Crist has been starter in the first six games, but redshirt freshman Michael Cummings has seen more action in the last two games.
OU coach Bob Stoops said the duel-quarterback system hasn't changed his team's preparation.
"They're not that much different. I don't see that. When he (Cummings) went in the game the other day it wasn't that much different," Stoops said. "So, not really that big a deal."
Stoops said the nightmare for a defensive coordinator is something akin to what the Sooners had in 1985. The Sooners had a pure drop-back passer in Troy Aikman and a prototypical wishbone quarterback with Jamelle Holieway.
"Then you'd have to prepare two different practices," Stoops said.

OU spring football notepad
Oklahoma defensive end D.J. Ward has finally been cleared by the NCAA. The freshman participated in his first practice Tuesday.“I’m really excited for D.J. It’s been a long process, but fortunately he’s been cleared to practice,” OU coach Bob Stoops said after Tuesday’s practice. “He has to spend two days in just helmets. So he couldn’t do much. But he did fundamental work in learning the defense.”The two practices Ward will spend without pads come prior to OU’s annual Red/White Spring Game at 2 p.m. Saturday at Owen Field.
