Texas will try and toast Georgia’s peachy record

The 2009 Junior Sunbelt Classic is winding down to the final two days of the tournament.

Over the weekend only two teams remained undefeated, team Texas, 5-0 with their run-rule win over team Oklahoma Gold, 8-0, Sunday at Mike Deak Field.

Team Texas was scheduled to play undefeated team Georgia, 5-0, at 11 a.m. today.

Team Georgia has scored 47 runs during the duration of the tournament and has allowed 17 runs to be scored.

Team Texas has 45 runs for the tournament and has allowed only 12 runs on defense.

Team Texas is coached by Head Coach O.J. Holcomb, Dane Saucier, Frank Romero and Lou Kosanovich.

Team Georgia is coached by 13-year veteran Head Coach Wayne Vickery, Dave McDonald, Chan Brown, Michael Adcock and Patrick Mayfield.

Team records as of Monday morning were team Arizona 4-1, Missouri 2-3, Tennessee 3-2, Mississippi 2-3, Oklahoma White 0-5, Blue 1-4, Gold 2-3 and team Canada 0-5.

Today’s games are Tennessee which will play Mississippi at 9 a.m., Texas play Georgia at 11:30 a.m., Arizona plays Mississippi at 2 p.m., Missouri plays Texas at 5 p.m., and Oklahoma Blue plays Canada in the final game at Mike Deak Field.

Games at Eastern Oklahoma State College are; Oklahoma White plays Missouri at 11 a.m., Canada plays Oklahoma White at 2 p.m., Oklahoma Gold plays Georgia at 5 p.m. at EOSC. Oklahoma Gold plays Tennessee at Wilburton High School at 7:45 p.m.
