The Wilburton Diggers have had a season they would probably like to forget. Wilburton (0-8) suffered it's first shut out of the season last Friday when they hosted Spiro, losing 34-0. This week the Diggers travel to Panama to take on the 3-5 Razorbacks. Panama is also coming off of a loss. Last week the Razorbacks fell to Hartshorne 25-6.
Wilburton has struggled on the offensive side of the football, only putting up 77 points on the scoreboard this season. They rely heavily on the play of Junior running back Kyle Mitchell, who has been a bright spot in an otherwise dismal season for the Diggers. Wilburton is hoping for a repeat performance of last season when they dropped the Razorbacks 38-8.
The Diggers are going to try to end the season on a positive note and hopefully in the win column. Wilburton wraps up their season next week when they host Valliant (6-2). Dispite the difference in records the teams are evenly matched on paper. Wilburton and Panama should provide an entertaining football game.
