Nursing class to graduate tonight

McALESTER — Graduates of the 2012 Kiamichi Techology Center Practical Nursing program will accept thier diplomas today at 6 p.m.

“We have a graduating class this year,” said Ammy Perry who along with Rbecca Dixon R.N. are instructors of the program.

“Of the 20 who started the program, 18 are graduating,” Perry said.

She said the 11 month program is intense and graduation is not the last step for the students. “They still have to pass the boards to become licensed.”

“We had an excellent class this year, we are very pleased,” Perry said.

The graduation will be held at tin Prichad Seminar Center at the Kiamichi Techonology Center, 301 Kiamichi Drive.For more on this story, see the print or electronic editions of the McAlester News-Capital.
