Charges of rape and sexual battery were dismissed recently for a 21-year-old McAlester woman and an 18-year-old Kiowa man.
Dominick Shane Willie, of Kiowa, and Montana C. Seeley, of McAlester, were charged in October in Pittsburg County District Court with one count each of felony rape by instrumentation and felony sexual battery.
On Jan. 4, charges against the two were dismissed without prejudice.
“The young girl who was the alleged victim came to me and said, ‘I don’t want to prosecute,’” said District 18 Assistant District Attorney Wesley Cherry. “The victim didn’t want to prosecute, so we dropped the charges.”
According to court records, Willie and Seeley had been accused of allegedly sexually violating the 16-year-old girl on Oct. 16.
According to On Demand Court Records, Willie and Seeley show no prior criminal offenses in Oklahoma.
