McALESTER —
The following felony and misdemeanor cases were decided in Pittsburg County District Court May 10-25. Dispositions include dismissed cases, suspended and deferred sentences and sentences from trials and plea bargains. Listings do not include all court costs.
Felony cases
• Leah Hymer, 38, Krebs, pleaded guilty May 11 to a charge of second degree rape. She was fined received a 10-year suspended sentence.
• Eric L. Larimore, 40, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty May 19 to a charge of larceny of automobile. He was fined $150 and received a three-year suspended sentence.
• Joshua Hopkins, 33, Eufaula, pleaded no contest May 13 to a charge of assault and battery with a deadly weapon. He was fined $600 and received a deferred sentence of five years. A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery was dismissed.
• Marina L. Bailey, 39, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 11 to a charge of taking or receiving a stolen credit or debit card. She was fined $200, ordered to pay $1,746.36 in restitution and received a deferred sentence of three years.
• Trey C. Case, 18, Wilburton, pleaded guilty May 23 to a charge of burglary in the second degree. He was fined $600 and received a deferred sentence of three years.
• Rowdy D. Russell, 24, Eufaula, pleaded guilty May 23 to charges of assault and battery upon a police officer, assault and battery, trespassing and public intoxication. He was fined $655 and received a deferred sentence of three years.
• Marlin J. Wilson, 41, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 25 to a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was fined $1,150, ordered to complete DUI school and received a five-year suspended sentence.
• A charge of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed for Donna S. Jackson, 35, of McAlester.
Misdemeanor cases
• Steven R. Shaffer, 24, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 23 to a charge of larceny of oilfield equipment. He was fined $80 and received a deferred sentence of six months.
• Brittanie Mansfield, 25, Kiowa, pleaded guilty May 23 to 19 counts of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses. She was fined, ordered to pay restitution and sentenced to one year.
• Christopher Stanfield, 41, Quinton, pleaded no contest May 16 to charges of reckless conduct with a firearm and carrying a firearm while under the influence. He was fined $270 and received a six-month suspended sentence.
• Gregory A. Tarvin, 30, Wilburton, pleaded guilty May 19 to a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was fined $750, ordered to complete DUI school and received a six-month suspended sentence.
• Misty J. Hilsbeck, 32, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 23 to a charge of driving without a driver’s license. She was fined $80. A charge of operating a vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable and proper was dismissed.
• Nicky M. Burge, 50, Clayton, pleaded guilty May 13 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $50.
• Vernon H. Driver, 33, Talihina, pleaded guilty May 16 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $50.
• Brian A. Huff, 40, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 16 to a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was fined $235 and received a one-year suspended sentence.
• John K. Barlow, 21, Hartshorne, pleaded guilty May 16 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $50.
• Emilio E. Sontag, 19, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 16 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $80.
• Jose Ivarra, 45, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 23 to charges of driving without a driver’s license and speeding in excess of lawful maximum limit. He was fined $80. A charge of failure to maintain security was dismissed.
• Brandon B. Baldwin, 29, Wilburton, pleaded guilty May 23 to charges of driving with a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt. He was fined $250 and received a one-year suspended sentence.
• Billy S. Lindley, 40, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 23 to a charge of disturbing the peace. He was fined $130 and received a 90-day suspended sentence.
• Dorcas A. Ayers, 49, Krebs, pleaded guilty May 13 to charges of possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was fined $500 and received a deferred sentence of five years.
• Janis McLain, 54, Krebs, pleaded guilty May 11 to a charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses. She was fined, ordered to pay $2,050.42 in restitution and received a deferred sentence of two years.
• Jackie D. Ball, 57, Eufaula, pleaded guilty May 10 to a charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses. She was fined, ordered to pay $229 in restitution and received a deferred sentence of one year.
• Raymond L. Bond, 47, McAlester, pleaded guilty May 13 to a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was fined $285, ordered to complete DUI school and received a deferred sentenced of two years.
• Michelle L. King, 25, McAlester, pleaded no contest May 20 to a charge of assault and battery. She received a deferred sentence of 30 days.
• Joseph L. Morgan, 19, Gowen, pleaded guilty May 17 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $80 and received a deferred sentence of 30 days.
• Daniel L. Ranaldo, 19, Hartshorne, pleaded no contest May 18 to a charge of public intoxication. He was fined $50 and received a deferred sentence of 30 days.
• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses was dismissed May 10 for Kayleen Holman, of Stigler.
• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses was dismissed May 16 for Shelly R. Scheidt, 45, of Checotah.
• A charge of obtaining cash or merchandise by bogus check/false pretenses was dismissed May 16 for Kelvin G. Key, 43, of McAlester.
• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery was dismissed May 16 for Travis C. Malone, 38, of McAlester.
• A charge of domestic abuse — assault and battery was dismissed May 23 for John W. Swing, 22, of Poteau.
• Charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, were dismissed May 23 for Steven C. Covington, 19, McAlester.
• Charges of driving while license is revoked and transporting an opened container of beer were dismissed May 17 for Matthew L. Decker, 44, of Blocker.
• A charge of obtaining merchandise by bogus check was dismissed May 10 for Jerrid P. Ragsdale, 38, of Checotah.
• A charge of obtaining merchandise by bogus check was dismissed May 16 for Joe D. Watts, 30, of Stigler.
New felony cases
The following new felony cases were filed in Pittsburg County District Court May 11 - 24.
• On May 11, David L. Thompson, 20, of Carrolton, Texas, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and knowingly concealing stolen property.
• On May 11, Michael W. Higgins, 20, of Ponder, Texas, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and knowingly concealing stolen property.
• On May 12, Sean G. Lenardo, 31, of McAlester, was charged with aggravated assault and battery.
• On May 12, Jacob E. Stevens, 20, of McAlester, was charged with escape from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
• On May 16, James D. Lawson, 63, of McAlester, was charged with actual physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.
• On May 17, Brandy Shelton, 34, of Stigler, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance.
• On May 18, David L. Amos, 57, of McAlester, was charged with domestic abuse — assault and battery.
• On May 19, Aubry Gibson, 18, of Haileyville, was charged with assault and battery upon a police officer, escape from arrest or detention and obstructing an officer.
• On May 20, Chandon N. Crawley, 31, of Krebs, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; child abuse by neglect; obstructing an officer; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; driving with a suspended license; failure to carry insurance or security verification form; failure to pay taxes due state; failure to stop at a stop sign; defective equipment and failure to use a child restraint system.
• On May 20, Marc A. Shull, 36, of McAlester, was charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation in the presence of a minor.
• On May 20, Susan Griffitts, 51, of McAlester, was charged with eight counts of unlawful purchasing/acquiring pseudoephedrine after a possession of controlled dangerous substance charge.
• On May 23, Heath E. Carter, 27, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On May 23, Tiffany K. Markland, 23, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On May 23, Karolyn R. Lebaron, 26, of McAlester, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
• On May 23, Andrea Gomez, 27, of McAlester, was charged with child abuse by injury.
• On May 23, Brian R. Overton, 33, of Krebs, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
• On May 23, Gary S. Lefler, 36, of Kinta, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude a police officer and resisting an officer.
• On May 24, Jackie R. Johnson, 64, of McAlester, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
• On May 24, Renae D. Conklin, 35, of McAlester, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
