• August 2012 (McClain County) — Convicted of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine). Sentenced to six years incarceration.
• December 2011 (Pittsburg County) — Charged with unlawful possession of a controlled drug (marijuana) with intent to distribute; unlawful possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute; unlawful possession of a controlled drug (Lortab) with intent to distribute; unlawful possession of a controlled drug (Xanax) with intent to distribute; and bringing contraband (drugs and cell phones) into a penal institution. Pleaded guilty to the methamphetamine charge and sentenced to 10 years, with four suspended. The remaining charges were dismissed.
• July 2009 (McClain County) — Convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled drug and sentenced to five years incarceration followed by five years probation.
• September 2006 (Cleveland County) — Charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and received a four-year suspended sentence.
• January 2005 (Cleveland County) — Convicted of unlawfully manufacturing a controlled drug and possession of a controlled substance. Sentenced to serve 684 days incarceration followed by probation.

Lexington woman gets prison time after bringing drugs into JBCC

McALESTER — A Lexington woman was sentenced to do time in prison after being arrested and charged for bringing drugs and cell phone into the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester.

Marcia King, 47, of Lexington, Okla., pleaded guilty Oct. 24 in Pittsburg County District Court to a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute. She was fined $800 and sentenced to serve six years in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Her total sentence was 10 years, with the last four years suspended.

Four other drug-related felony charges were dismissed in the plea bargain agreement between King and the District 18 District Attorney’s Office.

According to court records, authorities witnessed a vehicle enter the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center property on Dec. 5, 2012.

“A female passenger, later identified as Marcia Sherene King, had stuck her arm out the window, waived a brown paper bag around, tossed it toward the trash can, then left the prison property,” a police affidavit states.

Police waited and intercepted a JBCC inmate who picked up the package, according to court records. Authorities inventoried the contents of the brown bag and found five cell phones with charges and various sorts of drugs.
