Kiowa woman pleads guilty to child endangerment, DUI

McALESTER — A Kiowa woman pleaded guilty June 29 to multiple charges, including child endangerment and driving under the influence.

Melinda Ann Heathcock, 36, was arrested April 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol with two 3-year-old children in the car.

She pleaded guilty in Pittsburg County District Court to charges of child endangerment, driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and transporting an open bottle or container of beer.

After pleading guilty, Heathcock was fined $2,100. Judgment and sentencing were deferred for three years.
