No Hitter

McALESTER —  

Jaxon Rodriguez pitched 6 1/3 no hit innings with six strike outs on opening day for the Pittsburg County Little League Rangers Big 13 team. Rodriguez was replaced due to reached his pitch count limit. Rodriguez left the mound to third base in the last inning where he tagged a runner for the second out of the inning, during a steal attempt after reaching base on an error. Next pitch Rodriguez fielded a hard ground ball and threw to first for the final out of the game. Rodriguez combined with Gunner Hass for the opening day no-hitter. Rodriguez contribution to the game wasn’t just with his glove. Rodriguez batted lead off and went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored.
