Kenneth Wayne ‘Kenny’ Humphries

McALESTER — Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Humphries, 72, of Krebs, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at his home.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bishop Funeral Service.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born Sept. 22, 1940, in San Diego, Calif., he was the son of James Wayne and Thelma (Nail) Humphries. He was a partner in a family scrap metal business in San Diego.

Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to the McAlester area. They also lived in Arizona for a time, returning to Krebs in 2002 to make their home.

At one time he had an interest in a stock cars and enjoyed sponsoring that venture. He also took great joy in riding motorcycles. He and all of the family enjoyed camping and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Humphries, of the home; his daughter, Vikki Warner and her husband, Nicholas, of Yukon; his son, Jeff Humphries and wife, Denise, El Cajon, Calif.; his stepson, Jeromy Michael Matkin and wife, Christine, of McAlester; his stepson, Aaron Matkin and fiancée, Casey Helms, Manitou Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Christina Rogers, Brian Humphries, Emily Matkin and Elaina Matkin; one great-grandchild, Aiden Beaver, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Debbie Sue Humphries.
