Joe Howard Hanna

McALESTER — Joe Howard Hanna, 88, of McAlester, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas.

Funeral services were Monday at Mulkey Mason Chapel with the Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Burial was at Sanger Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Mulkey Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home of Denton.

Born Oct. 27, 1924, in Wagoner, he was the son of Joe E. and Clara (Walker) Hanna. He was a Baptist and a truck driver for many years.

He married Billylu Morrow on June 28, 1945, in Sanger, Texas. She preceded him in death on June 6, 1977. He then married Joy Mildred Whitlock on Nov. 15, 1978, in Raymondville, Texas. She preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 2005. He then married Donna Trosper Raliegh on May 13, 2006, in McAlester.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Hanna, of McAlester; daughters, Helen Giese and her husband, Glen, of Sanger; Jo Ann Powell and her husband, Tony, of Fruitvale, Texas, and Roma Roberts and her husband, Richard, of Longview, Texas; stepdaughter, Glenda Sanders, of McAlester; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Chris Sunnenberg, Arnold Cisneros III, Derrick Roberts, Chad Giese, Jay Moussa, David Roberts and Danny Cisneros.
