Ida Bell Little, 91, of Quinton, formerly of Savanna, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Palestine Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born April 29, 1919, in Quinton, she was the daughter of Joe and Ida (Amos) Brogdon. She had lived all her life in Savanna until she moved to Quinton for health reasons 25 years ago.
She had worked at the Hilltop Café in Savanna for a few years. She married J.E. “Doc” Little on July 31, 1942, in Reno, Nev., and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Fay and Arthur “Bob” Hunter, of Savanna; four grandchildren, Helen Hunter, of Savanna, Robert Hunter and his wife, Melissa, of McAlester, Clifford Hunter and his wife, Jessica, Fort Polk, La., and Clint Hunter and Melanie McCammon, of McAlester.
Also, three great-grandchildren, James Hunter, Haylei Hunter and Laynee Kate Hunter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister, Fletcher Brogdon, James Brogdon, Calvin “Curley” Brogdon, Jack Brogdon and Faye Ola Parks.
