Dale Minchew, 57, of McAlester

McALESTER — Dale Minchew, 57, of McAlester, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, in Oklahoma City.

Graveside services are today at 2 p.m. at the Eastland City Cemetery, in Texas, with the Rev. Jerry Maston officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas.

He was born Dec. 19, 1955, in Big Spring, Texas, to Charlie Minchew and Johnnie Adams. He graduated from Eastland High School in 1974. He lived in Oklahoma for many years and worked as a welder in the oil field. He was married to Cheri Minchew.

He is survived by his wife, Cheri Minchew, of McAlester; his father and mother, L.D. and Johnnie Adams, of Eastland, Texas; and three sisters, Julia Hunter and her husband, Duwayne, of Olden, April Hood and her husband, Nick, of Jackson, Miss., and Charlene Land and her husband, Jeff, of Big Spring, Texas.

Also, a niece, Tori Freeman, of Tallahassee, Fla.; two step-sons, J.D. and Charlie Crews, both of Missouri; four grandsons, Grady and Griffin Crews, of Sheldon, Mo., and Gunner and Kannon Crews, of Smithville, Va.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
