Neoma “Sis” (Power) Laughlin, 69, of McAlester

McALESTER — Neoma “Sis” (Power) Laughlin, 69, of McAlester, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Canadian Full Gospel Church with the Rev. G.C. Gray officiating. Burial will follow at the Muse Cemetery in Muse, Okla.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory of Eufaula.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1943, in Madera, Calif., to Harold Harris and Venus (Myers) Power. She attended school in Fresno, Calif., and Blocker, Okla. She worked as a cook at Fountain Head, Café St. Faye, and the Salty Pelican. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Canadian.

She is survived by two daughters, Gina Snodgrass and husband, Jason, and Tina Gavach, both of Mt. Home, Ark.; five brothers, Sam Power and wife, Minnie, of Crowder; Raymond Power and wife, Jimmie Margaret, of Canadian; Roger Power, of Crowder; Bobby Power and wife, Liz, of Lake Arthur, La.; and Oscar Young, of Bug Tussle; five grandchildren, Kayla, Blake, Ashton, Braydan and Jadan; and four great grandchildren: Ryland, Cash, Liam and Conner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Venus Power.

Pallbearers are Justin White, Todd Otis, Joshua Power, Jase Romine, Colton Welker and Christopher Rowland.

Honorary pallbearers are Blake Sisk, Braydan Sisk, Mike Kimery and Jason Snodgrass.
