McALESTER — Betty J. Tucker-McDonald, of McAlester, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at a local nursing center.

The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Home

A private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service & Crematory of McAlester.

Born July 10, 1923, in the High Bridge community, she was the daughter of Ralph and Nelle Treado. She graduated from Wilburton High School and attended Eastern Oklahoma State College. She was employed at Rockwell International making parts for the space program until she retired after 24 years of service.

The past five and one-half years she had been a resident of Walnut Grove Living Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennie Taylor and husband, John; son, Jim Tucker; son, Linn Tucker and wife, Denisa; son, Paul Tucker and wife; Sondra; four stepchildren, Dorthy DeLaughter, Robert McDonald, Terri McDonald and Stanley McDonald.

Also, nine grandchildren, Ricky Tucker and wife, Lynnete, Barrett Tucker and wife, Carrie, Kurt Swiderski and wife Beth, Dana Swiderski, Monica Tucker, Angela Conant and husband, Chad, Dodie Tucker, Jason Tucker and wife, Amber and Paige Tucker; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George (Chink) Tucker, in 1976, and husband, Max G. McDonald, in 1999.
