McALESTER —
Deborah Ann Powell, 52, of Indianola, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at her parent’s home in Canadian Shores.
The family will receive visitors Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.
Funeral services are Monday at 1 p.m. at the Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Service of McAlester.
She was born on May 4, 1960, in Austin, Texas, to James and Helen (Steward) Fry. Since her father was in the military, she lived in many different places growing up and has lived in the McAlester/ Indianola area since 1978.
She enjoyed doing carpentry work around the house in her spare time. She worked as a correctional officer at the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center for 10 years. She was a member of the Indianola Church of Christ.
She is survived by her parents, James and Helen Fry, of Indianola; a son, Jason Lee Walker, of Tulsa, and three grandchildren, heather Lynn Walker, Rachel Ann Walker and Ian James Fry Walker.
Also, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly S. and Wayne A. Johnston, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Nora Diane and Cliff Harrold, of Moore, and several aunts, uncles, neices and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by a brother, James J. Fry.
