McALESTER — Gregory Ray Roberts, 51, of Dallas, formerly of McAlester, died Feb. 21, 2013, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Bishop Chapel of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born Oct. 9, 1961, in Muskogee, he was the son of Don and Annette Roberts. He was a self-employed computer specialist.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s in social work, both from the University of Texas in Arlington.

He loved camping and hiking and enjoyed toying with innovative ideas and was a ham radio operator. He played trumpet in the high school marching band and participated in drum and bugle corps while in high school.

Survivors include his father, Don Roberts, and step-mother, Lyn Roberts, of McAlester; one sister, Ashley Davidson, of Edmond, and nieces, Brookelyn Annette Davidson and Ashton Alexandra Davidson, both of Stillwater.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
