McALESTER —
Patricia Ann Cotton, 72, of McAlester, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at her home.
A memorial Service will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of McAlester, officiated by Dr. Charles Neff.
Services are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
Born July 16, 1940 in Magnolia, Ark., she was the daughter of David and Syble (Reid) Keith. She graduated from Magnolia High School and Southern State College in Magnolia then graduated from St. Michael’s School of Medical Technology in Texarkana, Ark. She married John B. Cotton on March 30, 1962, in Magnolia, Ark.
As an admiral’s wife, she was active with many U.S. Navy functions. She was an artist and enjoyed painting with water colors, quilting, and she was a master gardener. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, active with PAWS and the Kiamichi Quilters Guild. She enjoyed fishing and hunting for arrowheads.
She is survived by her husband, John B. Cotton, M.D. of the home; son, John David Cotton and partner, David Gipson, of McAlester; daughter, Lora D. Cotton and husband, Kenneth E. Graham, of Tulsa; granddaughter, Grantley Barnett, of Paris, Texas; brother, David Reid Keith and wife, Linda, of San Antonio, Texas; niece, Leslie Keith, of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Damon Keith, of Bentonville, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Syble Keith.
