McALESTER —
William Franklin “Bill” Kincannon II, 86, of Kiowa, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in Tulsa.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Burial will be at Kiowa Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born Sept. 17, 1926, in Lawn, Texas, he was the son of William Franklin “Judd” Kincannon and Sybil (Duncan) Kincannon. He grew up in the Arlington, Texas, area and attended Baylor University. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.
He was an entrepreneur and began several businesses over the years. He was the owner/operator of Villa Motors in Oklahoma City for a number of years and also worked as an independent contractor for the Daily Oklahoman.
He loved to travel, dance and was a wonderful provider for his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Kincannon, of the home; daughter, Helen Silvey, of McAlester; granddaughter, Darra Silvey, of McAlester; daughters, Theresa “Terry” Smith, of Oklahoma City, Toni Land Russell, of Oklahoma City, Joy Gentry, of Oklahoma City, and Mickey Zimer, of Oklahoma City; son, William Franklin Kincannon III, Detroit, Mich., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rilla Kay Silvey; son, Blaine Kincannon; parents, Judd and Sybil Kincannon; grandson, J.D. Saiz, and sister, Grace Heathington.
Pallbearers will be Ray Goss, Bill Hensley, Clayton Weedin, Billy Thompson, John Thompson, Eric Thompson, Kenneth Jones and Troy Hubbs.
