Charles Thomas McDougal, 62, of McAlester

McALESTER — Charles Thomas McDougal, 62, of McAlester, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, in Tulsa.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.

Born March 1, 1950, in Bessemer, Ala., he was the son of Elbert Harris and Ola Gertrude (McGraw) McDougal. He grew up in Mobile, Ala., and moved to Bessemer during his senior year of high school and graduated with the Bessemer High School Class of 1968.

He worked as an automobile salesman. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, coins, stamps and reading.

He moved to McAlester in July 2012 to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughters, Angela Worley and husband, Kelly, of Gainesville, Ga., and Jennette Smith and husband, Jerry, of Crowder; brothers, Gene McDougal and wife, Evie, of Wetumpka, Ala., and Johnny McDougal and wife, Karen, of Chickasaw, Ala., and grandchildren, Breanna, Noah and Ruby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Buddy McDougal and Billy Joe McDougal, and sister, Laura Peterson.
