Kendall Owen Ketchum

McALESTER — Kendall Owen Ketchum, 51, of Indianola, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Dustin.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Service.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Choate Prairie Cemetery Pavilion. The Rev. Brent Jarrett will officiate. Interment will follow at the Choate Prairie Cemetery

Arrangements are under direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

He was born to Franklin “Pookie” and Minnie (Hearod) Ketchum on Nov. 30, 1961, in McAlester. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1980. He attended vo-tech and studied to become a diesel mechanic. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, a diesel mechanic for Enlow Tractor in Tulsa and his passion was farming and ranching. Kendall enjoyed to attend auctions, fish, hunt and pull lumber. He grew up in and was a member of Indianola First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his fiancé, Carmen Smith, of Bristow; sons, Leslie Standstipher and wife, Jamie, of Canadian, Kirby Ketchum and wife, Ashley, of Weatherford, Texas, Cody Ketchum, of Indianola; daughter, Michelle Ketchum, of Indianola; grandchildren, Keaton Standstipher, Samantha Standstipher, Kimberly Ketchum, Braxton Ketchum, Cheyenne Bell, Paytenn Bell and Nicholas Ketchum; mother, Minnie Crenshaw, of Indianola; brothers, Neil Ketchum and wife, Tammy, of Indianola, Bill Ketchum, of Indianola; mother of his children, Pam Ford; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pookie Ketchum, and paternal grandparents, Paul and Reba Ketchum.

Active pallbearers are Steve Tripp, Bill White, Harold Ketchum, Sam Walden, Larry Cox and Leroy McClaughery.

Honorary pallbearers are Bud Johns, David Sagers, Danny Ketchum, Jimmy McClaughery, Dean Ketchum, Don Ketchum, Bill Ketchum and Neil Ketchum.
