McALESTER — Jack D. Dollins, 77, of Hartshorne, died Friday, March 8, 2013.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilburton City Cemetery. Mona Thomason, Ben Jones and Pat Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Wilburton City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1935, in Hartshorne to H.L. Sr. and Violet C. (Housley) Dollins. He married Carolyn Miller on Nov. 21, 1956, in Hartshorne. He retired from the Bank of Hartshorne where he served as cashier, bank owner and was also in car sales. He graduated from Hartshorne High School. He enjoyed golf and working outside. He kept stats for the Hartshorne High School football games and the American Legion baseball games. He was a member of the Quarterback Club and enjoyed being with people. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church.

He was survived by wife, Carolyn Dollins, of the home; children and spouses, Teri Johnny Mitchell, of Norman, Jack Carole Dollins II, of Bryan, Texas, Shali Bobby Lay, of McLoud; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Sudduth, of Blue Springs, Mo.; brother and sister-in-law, David Elayne Dollins, of McAlester; brother-in-law, Dr. Kenneth Miller; sisters-in-law, June Dollins, Judy Dollins, Betsy Don Sokol, Gail John Bellmyer; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H.L. Dollins Sr. and Violet C. Dollins; grandparents, George and Hannah Housley, Harvey Milton and Eutoka Dollins; brothers, H.L. Dollins Jr., George Dollins, Jerry Dollins, Tommie Dollins; sisters, Violet LaVaugn Dollins, Betty Jean Dollins and Beverly A. Dollins; great-grandchildren, Taylor Linn and Brayden Linn; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Buddy and Mary “Nana” Miller.

Pallbearers are Jakie Mitchell, Chance Lay, Hunter Linn, Kenny Linn, H.L. Dollins, Rocky Dollins, Neil Dollins.

Honorary pallbearers are Dale Spears, George Thomason, Andy Thomason, Mr. Arthur Hiland, Jay Williams, Wayne Grogan, Jeremy Mitchell, Jared Dollins, Tim Sudduth, Brian Ellefson and Jonathon Mitchell.
