McALESTER — Orbra Dean Pogue, 82, of McAlester, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Muskogee Regional Medical Center.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bishop Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Canadian Shores Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Jarrett and the Rev. Fred Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Crowder Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

Born Feb. 22, 1930, in Canadian, she was the daughter of Orb and Eddie Mae Jones Eldridge. She married Billy Joe Pogue on May 16, 1952, in McAlester. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and visiting with her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Canadian Shores Free Will Baptist Church and the Robert B. Thomas Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1098 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Surin Pogue, of Poteau, and Jack and Les Pogue, of McAlester; five daughters and sons-in-law, Jenetta and Leroy “Alvie” Smith, of McAlester, Rosemary and Roy Mullins, of McAlester, Darlene and Mike Underwood, of Chickasaw, Sarah and Randy Tucker, of McAlester, and Vickie and Tim Allen, of McAlester; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orb and Eddie Mae Eldridge; husband, Billy Joe Pogue; three children, Joe Eddie Pogue, Gary Pogue and Teresa Pogue; grandson, Kenneth Raymond Mullins; sister, Rosa LaCoste; brother, Jesse Eldridge, and a nephew, Daniel Kicklighter.

Pallbearers will be Dally Smith, Cody Smith, Steven Underwood, Matthew Tucker Jeremy Tucker, Phillip Pogue and Dan Reagan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Sennett, Tracy Martin, Charley Eldridge, Les Standstipher and Steve Eldridge.
