McALESTER — Ed Holt, 51, of Hartshorne, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

The family held a memorial service Saturday at Hartshorne Christian Church with Pastor Mark Day officiating.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.

Born April 17, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas, he was the son of Edward Holt Sr. and Jan (Hughes) Holt. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his mother, Jan Holt; one daughter, Tana Joy Holt; one son, Matt Holt; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Kellye Holt, and Will and Naomi Holt; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Christy Turpin, Edie Holt, and Ramona and Billy Key; five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Holt Sr.; maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
