McALESTER —
Bryan Jones, 92, of McAlester died Sunday Dec. 30, 2012, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ, officiated by Kevin Wright.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, McAlester.
Funeral services are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
Born August 23, 1920, in Stuart, he was the son of Buster and Euna Trammell Jones.
He attended schools in the Stuart and Ashland areas.
He was honorably discharged from the United States Army after he served in combat in Germany and France.
He was married to Leona Jones on Nov. 9, 1946, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He worked for Hudgens Construction Company in 1946, and then began working for Humphrey’s Plumbing.
He also for Hutchison Lumber Company until 1973 when he began working at General West Hospital. He worked McAlester Regional Health Center until his retirement.
He was a long time member of The Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Bruce Balcom, of McAlester; three grandchildren and spouses, Tammy and Todd Tripp, of Indianola, Natalie and Bruce McGuire, of High Hill; and Jennifer and David Roth, of Alderson; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua Henry, Kailey Clark and husband, Russell Taylor Tripp, Rebecca Tripp, Darci Pierson and husband, Chris Vance Roth, and Chase McGuire; three great-great grandchildren, Mackenzie Cantrell, Logen Pierson, Nevaeh Davis, and Tinlee Pierson; and, three brothers, Bob Jones, of McAlester, Gene Jones, of Oklahoma City, and Farris Jones, of McAlester.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Leona Jones; brother, Dale Jones; sister, Pauline McNutt and a baby sister.
Active pallbearers are, Gary Kennedy, James Vercelli, Heath Moss, Gary Stokes, Dan Reagan and James Epps.
Honorary pallbearers are, the maintenance crew from The McAlester Regional Heath Center.
