McALESTER — Betty L. Silott, 83, of McAlester, died on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in McAlester.
A viewing was held Sunday.
Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Jerry Hollaway. Interment will follow.
Funeral services are under direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
Born July 11, 1929, in Pittsburg, she was the daughter of Leslie and Julia B. (Painter) Hopkins.
She graduated from McAlester High School.
She worked at the U.S. Navy Ammunition Depot and then as a secretary for the Pepsi-Cola distributor in McAlester. She also worked in promotional sales, giving samples to customers in retail stores.
She had attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Krebs.
She is survived by her nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Bea Hopkins; her first husband, Albert “Buddy” Peccio; one son, John Peccio; two brothers, Earl H. Hopkins and Frank Hopkins; one sister, Lois Buttrim, and her second husband, Steve Silott.
