Claudia Mae Barnes

McALESTER — Claudia Mae Barnes, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at the Stephenson ranch at a later date for friends and family.

Born Oct. 19, 1934, in Indianola, she was the daughter of Thomas Andrew and Claudie Melissa Williams. She was one of 10 children.

Survivors include her life partner, Ed Stephenson, of Eufaula; her son, Chester Barnes, of McAlester; adoptive son, Lawrence Thompson, of Dallas; one brother, Raymond Williams and family, of Oklahoma City; one sister, Lillie Lewis, of Stuart, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings, and her first husband, E.O. (Gene) Barnes.
