McALESTER — Cheryl Darlene (Blanton) Pizano, 62, of Eufaula, died Jan. 19, 2013, at a local nursing center.

A graveside memorial service is set for 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester, with the Rev. Marvin Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.

She was born on June 5, 1950 in Auburn, Calif., to Joe and Hazel Laverne Crevier Blanton. She lived in Southbend, Washington for a few years and then moved to McAlester in 1980. The remainder of her years were spent in the McAlester area. Cheryl worked at Charles Komar and Sons for a few years and she attended church at the New Haven Bible Baptist Church in Krebs for many years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting and being around all of her family. She lived with and took care of her grandmother in McAlester.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and David C. Dugger, of Savanna; two sons and daughter-in-law, Tamo Blanton, of    Paris, Texas, and Thomas and Olivia Pizano, of McAlester; grandchildren, Brandon L. Copeland, Arlo Christian Ray Jordon, Ryan Michael Jenkins, Justin David Jenkins, Matteo Xavier Pizano and Camryn Grace Pizano; a great-grandson, Kayden L. Copeland, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandmother, Irma L. Gage and two brothers, Roy Denton Blanton and Harold Dean Reich.
