Buffs notch victories against Hugo

McALESTER — There was never a doubt that the Buffaloes and Lady Buffs would win in Friday evening varsity basketball action between McAlester and Hugo at Bob Brumley Gymnasium. It was just a matter of which set of Buffaloes and Lady Buffs would actually notch the victories in Southeast Six Conference play.

McAlester's girls cruising to a 62-30 win, while McAlester’s boys varsity hung on in a much closer 57-54 decision.

McAlester next plays at Ada in the POTAC road basketball edition. Girls varsity is scheduled to tip in Ada at 6:30, with the boys game to follow.
