McALESTER — McAlester pom squad members and those who traveled with them returned to McAlester this week after competing last weekend in a national competition in Orlando, Fla.

In the pom division, McAlester High School’s squad advanced to the finals of the small varsity category of the national Universal Dance Association competition and finished 16th, according to team coach Penny Oss.
