McALESTER — The Ada Cougars’ double-digit leads didn’t seem to bother the McAlester Buffaloes. Both times the Cougars went up big, the Buffs just mounted a big comeback.
Overcoming a big lead might’ve been easy, but a 1-point lead? That, the Buffaloes couldn’t quite get past.
Ada sophomore Cory Kilby capped a 36-point night with a lead-changing lay-up in the final two minutes of the game, and the Cougars held on to beat the Buffaloes, 57-56, on Tuesday at Bob Brumley Gymnasium.
