McALESTER — Tuesday’s junior high softball game between McAlester and Savanna will probably never serve as an instruction manual on defense — though it might work well as a cautionary tale.
Both the Lady Buffaloes and Lady Bulldogs committed plenty of errors Tuesday at Bud Hale Softball Complex, but in the end, the Buffaloes took better advantage of the extra outs given to them.
McAlester came home twice on Savanna wild pitches in the bottom of the fourth, helping the Lady Buffs overcome a two-run deficit late in the game and beat the Lady Dawgs, 5-4.
