QUINTON — Quinton High School’s softball team always takes the field with plenty of confidence. Ace pitcher Red Reasnor, after all, entered Tuesday’s game against Hartshorne having thrown three consecutive no-hitters, which were in turn part of a five-game stretch without allowing an earned run.
But even on those occasional days when Reasnor doesn’t quite bring her A+ game, the Lady Savages know their offense can handle a couple of mistakes.
Kelsey Crawford homered in the bottom of the first, and twin sister Kristen homered in the second, powering Quinton to a 9-1 run-rule victory over Hartshorne in six innings Tuesday at the Quinton Activity Complex. Quinton has now won six games in a row and are 12-2 overall.
