TULSA — Three-point shooting and the McAlester Buffaloes just didn’t get along in Friday’s 5A regional semifinal. The Buffaloes knocked down just two shots from beyond the arch, while the Bishop Kelley Comets knocked down nine.
Against the Comets’ mix of lethal outside-shooting and aggressive play in the paint, the Buffs never had a chance.
J.D. Limes scored 12 points for the Comets and Matt Craig scored 11, pacing the Comets to a 64-48 win against the Buffs on Friday at Bishop Kelley in Tulsa.
Todd Dawkins led the Buffs with 13. With the win, Bishop Kelley improved to 16-7. McAlester finished its season 6-17.
