McALESTER — Seth Grant started his senior year at McAlester High School with just a few varsity games under his belt. And almost right away this season, the Buffaloes began to pile more offensive responsibilities onto Grant’s already sizable work load as a defensive end.
Instead of buckling under the pressure, Grant has thrived, using his size and speed to both get to opposing quarterbacks and burst through opposing lines in running situations. As the Buffaloes have asked Grant to do more, he’s tried to focus on less on any given play.
“You can go as deep as you want to into football and start getting technical,” Grant said Tuesday. “Then you just get confused to where you can’t even play anymore. I just keep it simple and play hard.”
