McALESTER — As a nice epilogue to McAlester’s fast-pitch softball season, two members of the 2012 Lady Buffs made the 5A All-District 4 team. Junior Cheyenne Selman was named District Pitcher of the Year, while senior Cheyenne Conklin qualified as a utility player.
McAlester coach Jackie Cumbie said district coaches picked the All-District team on Nov. 5.
Conklin also made the All-Region team as a shortstop. That team, composed entirely of seniors, was created in late October by Region 6 coaches of the Oklahoma Fast Pitch Coaches Association.
