McALESTER — The first time the McAlester Buffaloes and Durant Lions faced each other this season, the Lions jumped out to an early lead, and the Buffaloes had to fight from behind virtually the entire game before ultimately losing by 1 point.
Lo, how things have changed.
Led by freshman Todd Dawkins, the Buffaloes built a 20-point lead in the first half that the Lions never overcame. The Buffs won their Homecoming game, 67-56, on Friday at Bob Brumley Gymnasium in McAlester.
With the win, McAlester improved to 5-15. Durant fell to 6-15.
