McALESTER — Both the McAlester football team and its facilities have been hard at work these last few weeks. The Buffs have attended numerous recent camps, including an eight-team camp held at the Universtiy of Tulsa. Hook Eales Stadium, meanwhile, is two weeks into its six-week Summer Pride training camp.
“We were real proud over the way our kids played,” said Buffaloes head coach Bryan Pratt. “None of our players got injured, so that’s a plus.”
About 25 high school football players also attended Tulsa Air, a quarterbacks and receivers camp held at Lincoln Christian School that finished Friday. Pratt said the camp was a great opportunity for his players, split almost evenly between high school and junior high, to get additional practice with an offense unafraid to throw the ball.
